Some reports saying we might make a £9m bid for Kurt Zouma (centre-half, currently at St. Etienne in Ligue 1).
He’s massive, and he’s only eighteen. Turned down a £170,000-a-week move to City in the summer, according to reports. That’s encouraging, right? Potentially shows he’s committed to developing further and not in it for the money, like most French players (Clichy, Nasri, Remy etc)
He’s played for his country since, I believe, the U16’s? Correct me if I’m wrong. Best assets are speed, strength and aerial ability. Also great composure and likes the long pass.
After watching him a bit, only criticism I’d have is that he plays it safe when under little pressure too much.
